Asst.-Professor Simone Wies receives DFG funding

"Combatting the Wall Street Curse on Firm Product Innovation"

For her new research project "Combatting the Wall Street Curse on Firm Product Innovation" Simone Wies receives funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG) for the next three years.

In her research project Wies deals with the innovative power of companies. Previous research shows that companies become less innovative when they go public. This effect is attributed to the pressure on companies by the stock exchange, which is oriented towards the short period of time. Wies will investigate whether there are companies that remain innovative after going public and, if so, what factors are decisive for this.

We congratulate Simone Wies and wish her every success in her research project.
