How is digitization changing Bank’s requirements for analytics and what are the upcoming trends?

Michael Ehrmantraut, IBM

Abstract:

Starting with a Maturity Model for Analytics the session is introducing the different “shades of analytics” (total 9) by using real use cases from banking and insurance industry. A typical analytics architecture will be developed step-by-step and finally mapped to the IBM Analytics Reference Architecture. By doing this, analytics tools are explained and compared. An additional dimension of this point of view is the fact that data exploration, sand boxing and rapid prototyping is also becoming more and more important. This aspect is reflected by cloud based environments providing analytics development (PaaS / SaaS). The presentation ends up with a short overview of IBM Bluemix as very popular candidate for such an analytics development PaaS environment.
