Weaving Interspecies Rhythms: The Fashion Value Chain as a Gathering of Non-Human Timescales

Abstract: The disastrous environmental impact of the fashion industry can only be addressed by shifting
away from a technological-material logic and anthropocentric understanding of its value chain.
This research adopts a more-than-human perspective to analyse temporal and spatial
interspecies alignment in the territorialized textile value chain of wool in the Alps.
